A Swedish hand woven wool rug in flatweave rölakan technique, designed by Rakel Carlander. Monogrammed at one corner: RC. It is a collectible piece in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The main field is compartmented in smaller fields with alternating stylized geometric figures in shades of greens, blues, beige, brown and grays. Two solid borders enclose the composition. Inspired by traditional Northern European crafts, culture, and nature, vintage Scandinavian rugs enchant with their unpretentious elegance.
