Scandinavian design is one of the most well-known and celebrated styles in the world and Judith Johansson, the author of this vintage flat-weave, belongs to the pantheon of iconic Swedish designers. Her signature, JJ, is visible in the bottom left corner of the rug.

The strong body of the flat-weave was made by hand of high-quality wool in accordance with old and refined weaving techniques. If properly maintained, the rug will serve its owners for generations without the slightest signs of wear.

This Swedish flat-weave boasts a look deeply embedded in the philosophy of Scandinavian design. Its main field features all-over central pattern of repeating geometric figures in pastel shades of blue and gray against a beige background with mélange touches of blue and gray. The composition is finished with tassels at the shorter edges of the rug.
