Still at work? The three days preceding Christmas are probably the least productive of the year. And that’s okay. Nothing wrong with a little last-minute online shopping while last night’s eggnog wears off.
The design blogosphere is abuzz with festive goodness. Houzz shows how to make a paper-cut bauble. Or you could 3-D print ornaments to match the ones at the White House. If you weren’t in NYC or didn’t have time to make the window-shopping circuit this year, see the best ones here. Curbed has some festive snaps of New York Christmases of yore. Also, do checkout this incredible, Arizonian tumbleweed tree, and also HomeEdit’s Christmas greenery beyond the tree. And if you’re still feeling ambitious, here are some very last-minute decorating ideas.
We’ve loved following so many of our designer friends this season as they post pictures of pre-holiday installations and as they decorate their own homes. Here’s a little list of sparkling spaces that put us in the festive spirit. Take a minute to appreciate them and shave a little more time off those remaining work hours…
Last but not least, the pretty green-and-red leafy blooms on this hooked runner call to mind poinsettias. There’s a seasonal, festive note to be found in many of our American hooked rugs, with their blooming designs and garland borders. Check out our full gallery of hooked and rag rugs here.
Happy holidays, everyone. Have a festive and restful rest of your week.
