This antique, hand-knotted blue Persian rug is made out of wool and was made around 1920. Its color palette includes blue, pink, red, white and yellow. The border is beige, enclosed within two red-pink perimeters. Every individual field of color on this antique carpet is decorated by intricate patterns of motifs, employing contrasting colors of red, blue and white. The main field itself has a pattern of botanical motifs.

Although made over one hundred years ago, this exceptional antique rug looks like it was just taken down from the looms. Under proper maintenance, the Heriz rug has a chance to serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear.
