A vintage Swedish flat-weave rug dating back to circa 1960. It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The open field features softly gradated striations in warm brown hues shades running selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next. A wide beige geometric border composed of stepped diamonds and small rectangles takes the central stage. The rug is rendered in variegated hues of brown, beige and ivory. Beautiful fringe on the vintage rug’s top and bottom part is a nice finishing touch, which gives it even more charm.
