A large, hand-made cotton Indian Dhurrie from the 1940’s, in excellent condition. The geometric design is characteristic to the early 20th century European Art Deco movement. It was most likely commissioned for the European market or for an Indian palace decorated in the Art Deco style. The color pallete consists of burgundy against a salmon field.
