This vintage rug, made circa 1950, comes from the golden period for Chinese rug industry marked by the thriving business activity of Walter Nichols. The first half of the 20th century was a turning point for Chinese weavings. The main field is embraced by a series of borders, some of which are adorned with geometric and floral motifs.
