This vintage rug was made circa 1948 in Europe. Its entire field is covered with irregular motifs forming an abstract Deco design. The main forte of the European Deco rug lies in the color palette – muted tones of green, beige and black create a coherent composition which evokes associations with mighty European forests.

The rug was hand-knotted of high-quality wool according to traditional techniques by a skilled artisan. Due to such careful making it still looks like new. Under the condition of proper maintenance, this Deco carpet will serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear.
