Sotheby’s in New York kicked off its 2015 designer showhouse, an event cosponsored by Architectural Digest. Alyssa Urban of the AD100 firm Cullman & Kravis decorated the living room, which is on display, along with the rest of the showhouse, through April 19. “Taking inspiration from a dramatic 1930s Art Deco rug by Jacques Adnet, our living room is reminiscent of the bygone era of classic Hollywood glamour,” she says. “I paired fine antiques, including a 1920s Gilbert Poillerat console and Dominique rosewood sideboard, with contemporary art, including works by Damien Hirst and Gerhard Richter.”
