Since 1995, Ann Getty & Associates has been providing custom interior design to clients worldwide. The company’s headquarters are located in San Francisco, however the firm cooperates with an international network of artisans and suppliers. The mission of Ann Getty & Associates is to visualize, implement and execute interior design campaigns, that reflect taste, quality and integrity.
Ann Getty & Associates is addressed to astute, tasteful consumers who are interested in the finest materials, the preservation of antiques and respect for architectural integrity. Her education includes international art and antiques studies. In the ’80s she studied anthropology at UC Berkeley, and later took working trips to Ethiopian Rift.
Started in July 2003, The Ann Getty House Collection features original designs and authentic reproductions of furnishings, inspired by Getty’s extensive travels and design studies. She is a designer fluent in various styles and periods, known for sourcing her vast array of objects and opulent materials from across the globe. Ann, with her team of talented designers, travels the world in order to work with the manufacturers, craftsmen and dealers involved in works commissioned by her clients.
Getty’s customers include San Francisco crème de la crème names, art-smart people, cool young couples, as well as style explorers. Getty’s work has always been ultra-private, but her services where in such a high demand that she could not avoid finding herself in the spotlight. She has recently completed the remodel and redesign of a landmark Victorian house for her son, Peter – a blogger and musician.
Getty’s own house is decorated with paintings by Renoir, Matisse and Degas, which all sit above George III armchairs, on walls covered in Chinese gauze. Her commissioned interiors, much like her own home, revolve around the same, sometimes extravagant, aesthetic. In all her projects Ann Getty conveys eccentric, eclectic, wild interior styling with a really big dash of lavishness. She has excellent understanding of elegance and comfort.
