A vintage flatweave wool rug dating back to circa 1940s. This rug’s design consists of a red outer border, blue inner border and red main field, with a pattern of two alternating stylized floral motifs running across both the inner border and the main field. The carpet’s shorter sides feature a tasseled fringe. The color palette encompasses rich burgundy, honey yellow, emerald green, soft ivory and sharp black. Authentic and extraordinarily well-preserved, this rug remains as bold and vibrant as it was on the day when it left its Afghan weaving workshop.
