Created by a doyenne of Scandinavian craft Marta Maas-Fjetterstrom, this vintage Swedish rug can be named iconic. Its allover whimsical design features a geometricized representation of carnations rendered in a tone-on-tone green palette ranging from forest to mint complemented by off-white, finished with a fringe at the shorter edges that adds lightness and even more charm to the composition. As befits a work of a master, the Swedish flat-weave was meticulously hand-made of the finest wool thanks to which it has remained intact for half a century.
