Flatweave Classic Taupe Wool Rug “Heather” N13084 7'5" × 14'3"

Heather is a modern flatweave rug in classic taupe, defined by a finely mottled surface that reads like softly weathered textile rather than a strict pattern. The field is almost allover and borderless, with light taupe flecks dispersed through the ground to create a gentle heathered effect and quiet tonal movement.

Woven in a blend of nettle mix and yak wool, the rug has a compact, low-profile hand that feels refined and architectural. Its restrained palette of classic taupe and light taupe gives the piece broad versatility, while the subtle striation in the weave adds depth without visual weight. It is an easy fit for contemporary interiors, from calm living spaces to tailored bedrooms and workrooms.

The name Heather is especially fitting: it evokes the rug’s fine heathered weave and the natural elegance of its softly varied surface. Rather than relying on ornament, the design finds interest in texture, tone, and the quiet rhythm of the flat weave.

Curated by Doris Leslie Blau, this contemporary rug showcases the fusion of heritage techniques and modern aesthetics that defines the gallery’s celebrated design philosophy. With a broad spectrum of styles and price points, DLB makes fine carpet art attainable for both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers.
