A second quarter 20th century American hooked rug runners, having an overall folk-motif tile pattern formed of stepped rows of octagons, each containing tulips and roses in a pale color palette.

From the early 1800’s through the middle years of the twentieth century these original compositions allowed the rug makers an opportunity to freely express their creativity.
