A mid-century, Swedish flatweave wool rug made by Ingegerd Silow with woven initials (IS) at a lower corner. It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The rug features an open blue field with softly gradated striations run selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next embraced with a geometric border of crosses and outer melange gray border. The color pallete consists of blue, beige, gray and taupe. Hand-woven from the highest quality materials, this Swedish rug encompasses the love for tradition and the excellent craftsmanship of Scandinavian design. Moreover, a beautiful fringe on the vintage rug’s top and bottom part is a nice finishing touch, which gives it even more charm.
