This circa-1940 vintage Swedish rug by Märta Måås-Fjetterström features an all-over design of bright geometric abstractions in shades of blue, orange, red and beige, with multiple multicolored geometric borders serving as frame. The vintage carpet is modernist and elegant in its use of color and shape. Maas-Fjetterstrom (1873-1941) was a leading figure in Swedish textile design, with a workshop known for producing well-composed rugs incorporating traditional Swedish and modern motifs.
