Mid-20th Century Swedish Flat-Weave Wool Rug in Amber, Rust, and Green BB6563 5'8" × 7'8" $4,000
$4,000
The beauty of this vintage Scandinavian area rug lies not only in its design, but also great care with which it was made. Woven by hand circa 1960, the antique carpet features a minimalist pattern, inspired by traditional Swedish craft, which would not look out of place in a contemporary interior. On the central field we can see simple flowers accompanied by leafy stems. The whole is anchored with a clever use of double frame and fringe at the top and bottom part of the vintage round rug. The color palette of this piece features shades of beige with small bits of green and brownish-orange, which results in a warm and inviting composition.
