A Swedish hand woven wool rug in flatweave rölakan technique, designed by Rakel Carlander. Monogrammed at one corner: RC. It is a collectible piece in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The field in bold shades of red and coral is compartmented in smaller fields with alternating stylized geometric elements. Two solid borders in gray and charcoal enclose the composition. Inspired by traditional Northern European crafts, culture, and nature, vintage Scandinavian rugs enchant with their unpretentious elegance.
