Doris Leslie Blau Collection Moroccan Handmade Beige, Black Wool Runner N12115 2'0" × 10'0" $3,500

Traditional-inspired rugs are nowadays one of the most sought-after decorative items as they perfectly fit into contemporary decors without losing touch with their ancient origins. Design-wise the Moroccan runner is modeled on famous Beni Ourain carpets woven by nomadic tribes living in Rif Mountains near Taza. Although these remarkable tribal rugs occur in a number of different styles depending on the region, their common denominator is simplicity and directness.
The design of this Moroccan runner is a modern interpretation of the Beni Ourain style. Its face carries an arrangement of rectangular fields and stripes rendered in a combination of beige and black. The composition is finished with a fringe at the shorter edges of the rug.
The Moroccan rug was carefully hand-knotted of high-quality wool in accordance with traditional techniques by a skilled artisan. It is distinguished by a soft, shaggy pile and solid construction. If maintained properly, it will serve many years without any signs of wear.
