This lovely runner, although made in the 21st century, stays in the spirit of traditional Samarkand creations. However, it is quite unusual even for the multi-cultural style of the oasis town. Its field is divided into several rectangles, each bearing a different design. Curvilinear architectural forms, flower heads as well as geometric pattern are executed in a pronounced chocolate brown and mustard yellow hue against the ivory and beige background.
