$40,000
This early 20th century Karabagh carpet unveils the power of Caucasian aesthetics. Its open tobacco field carries a salmon, beige and ivory column of linked floral cartouches and medallions with birds framing the cartouches, as well as enlarged ivory spandrels with floral motifs, all enclosed within a striped border. The neutral color palette featuring tones of beige and light brown will easily match any king of interior arrangement, bringing in a lot of warmth. In case of this antique Karabagh rug, the look definitely matches the quality. The rug was carefully hand-knotted out of wool in accordance with traditional techniques by a skilled artisan, thanks to which it still looks as if it was just taken down from the looms. If properly maintained, the antique rug will serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear.
