Description:
'An early 20th century French Art Deco landscape rug depicting abstracted hills and trees throughout in between sky motifs and beneath a yellow sun all within a solid gray border. Initialed with the monogram, "HF", is unusual due to its loosely Figurative design, which was less common than geometric and abstract design patterns at the time. With its muted color palette and subtle reference to Japanese landscape painting, this rug is an excellent example of the French contribution to Art Deco design.
