$7,000

Originating from Turkey (Anatolia), Tulu rugs (pronounced “two-lou”) are very unique among other types of antique and vintage rugs. They are hard to classify – their appearance is very modern yet in fact, this style of rugs is thought to be the predecessor of all knotted pile carpets. This mid-20th century Tulu rug boasts a solid sea green field with a dark green and a lighter green band at the lower edge. Carefully hand-knotted of the finest wool in accordance with centuries-old techniques, the rug is durable and resilient. If properly maintained, it will serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear.
