A mid-century Swedish flat-weave rug designed by Ingegerd Silow with woven initials of ‘IS’ at the lower corner. Reminiscent of sky and earth, this handwoven wool vintage Swedish rug with Scandinavian Modern style is also known as a Rollakan or flat-weave Kilim rug. A geometric medallion takes center stage in an abrashed striated field with a complementary motif border at each end. With it’s symmetrical design and functional versatility, this Swedish rollakan can enliven a space without overwhelming it. The rug is rendered in variegated shades of blue, beige, gray and brown.
