$25,000

A work of extremely talented weaver, Märta Måås-Fjetterström, this vintage rug is a great example of Swedish weaving craft. The rug’s surface is divided with two white lines into three parts, with the middle one being the widest. All of them consist of symmetric squares, each sporting different pattern. It shows, that Måås-Fjetterström must have spent countless hours, separately hand-weaving each square. Lines seem to be a main theme here – from the two dividers to stratified parts, they are present throughout the design. The natural dyes used during the production, were mostly shades of warm brown and hints of white. Combining practical approach, such as using woolen fibers and raw Scandinavian beauty, Måås-Fjetterström created a carpet that will serve for years to come, while inspiring awe thank to its creative design.
