Looking at this imposing yet simple Swedish rug, one may tell straight away it came from the hands of a master and this one was born in the workshop of a weaving genius Marta Maas-Fjetterstrom. Its entire design is based upon the combination of warm shades. The main field carries a mélange brick red shade which is complemented by umber brown running on the longer edges, whereas the shorter ones are finished with a brown and ivory fringe that introduces folkloristic charm to the minimalistic composition. Thoroughly hand-woven of fine wool, this grand runner is characterized by remarkable durability which allowed it to survive until present in excellent condition. If properly maintained it will adorn ample spaces for many years without any signs of wear.
