Woven by extremely talented Ingrid Dessau circa 1950, this stunning vintage Swedish rug displays a surprisingly modern design while retaining traditional beauty of Scandinavian pattern. Although at first glance this composition might seem simple, a closer look reveals how complex it truly is. In the middle we can see a series of horizontal lines, some of which are dashed, surrounded by three different frames. Serrated edges contrast beautifully with symmetrical lines, which is further highlighted by vintage rugs simple yet elegant palette containing black, gray and elements of pure white.
