This fine contemporary rug was made in the Netherlands out of hand-spun, hand-knotted goat’s wool. The wool is un-dyed, which resulted in its delightful texture, but also a fascinating color palette. Soft grays and deep black look stunning on an ivory background and certainly help to draw attention to the pattern. The design is simple, symmetric and timeless as inspired by a blend of traditional European folk designs. In the middle we can see three symmetrical figures with diamonds in the center, which are framed by a series of squares on the left and right side of the contemporary rug.
