Time-lapse Peek at Washington Design Center

Last summer we unveiled our new D.C. digs at the relocated Washington Design Center. If you’re going to be in the area anytime soon, the center is well worth checking out: We share the building with dozens of decor, lighting and furniture purveyors and, unlike in the past, you don’t have to be a designer just to get inside. There’s a ton of inspiration to be found on site.

For a little taste of what you’ll find in our space at the center, check out this time-lapse video:

Our lady in Washington, Madeleine Mitchell, is a wealth of information and expertise. Here’s a little peek at three of her favorite newly-arrived samples, available in custom sizes, and all from Nepal:

tree-sunrise

This lovely silk piece has a natural design that calls to mind the colors of sunrise reflected on a tree trunk.

capistrano

This knotted silk-and-Tibetan wool weave with turquoise details boasts an elegant geometric pattern.

 Savannah

Another Tibetan wool and silk combination, this lovely piece has an abstract floral pattern with a dash of modernist edge.
