Cinder and smoke, platinum and silver, taupe and timberwolf – shades of gray (sans whips and chains) have won our hearts and taken center stage in many an interior of late. Gray: It’s everyone’s new favorite neutral.
To that end, we’ve been adding pretty gray pieces to our contemporary carpet offerings, and the resulting collection runs the gamut, with a host of designs that range from elegant to edgy, from angular geometry to romantic ombré.
Right now, you can see them on display at DLB’s showroom in the Manhattan Decoration & Design building. Here’s a little peek at what you’ll find when you visit:
This wool-and-silk braid stitch has bold patterning that’s formal and contemporary.
Made in Nepal, this is a hand-knotted wool and tweed carpet with bands of aluminum and light charcoal that vary in width to give it an edge.
This is another hand-knotted piece from Nepal, though this one is done in bamboo silk and the ombré character lends richness and depth.
Wool and silk are blended together for a lovely textural softness in this hand-tufted carpet from Thailand.
This India-made viscose carpet has a subtle but intricate shading variance to its chevron patterning.
A hand-tufted, all-wool carpet from Thailand with a chain of interlocking squares, the texture of this piece beckons to be touched along its raised taupe bands.
