A late 19th century antique North Indian Amritsar rug on a soft brown field framed by a darker brown border with exotic trees.

One of the common patterns of vintage indian style rugs are naturalistic floral designs – this feature is typical for carpets woven in the time of Jahangir’s reign. Millefleurs motif can also be found on Indian carpets.
