1900s Persian Malayer Geometric Rug in Red, Blue, Yellow and Black BB6929 5'0" × 10'0" $4,000
$4,000
Beauty of an authentic Persian rug is not only its elegant design, but also great quality of the weave. A Persian rug can survive more than 50 years with relatively little wear, provided it’s being cared for properly. Most carpet-weaving villages located on terrain that used to belong to Persian Empire have their own original patterns, developed through centuries.
This stunning Persian rug was hand woven in the 1900’s. It’s design immediately draws the attention thanks to both the rug’s beauty and mint condition. The pattern includes a rather complex geometric composition, inspired by traditional Iranian craft. The whole is bordered by a thick and very ornate frame, which is balanced enough not to overwhelm the entire design. The color palette picked for this rug mostly consists of shades of red and green, with smaller elements of white and black. Rug’s size, 5’0″ × 10’0″ (152 × 304 cm), makes it a great addition to spacious interiors, such as living rooms or dining rooms.
Here at Doris Leslie Blau we are proud to see our antique rugs and contemporary carpets featured in the best interior design magazines in the industry, such as very prestigious Architectural Digest or famous Elle Decor.
