An early 20th century vintage round rug, the cobalt blue field with staggered floral blossoms, vases issuing floral spray and roundels with abstract floral motifs within a half-blue and half-beige border with delicate floral sprays that extend outside the border lines.

Often employing silk textiles, antique Chinese oriental rugs and carpets were produced in medallion as well as rectangular formats. These tend to be more open and spacious than the Oriental carpets from the Western Asia.
